Peshawar: Pakistan Tehreek -e -Insaf (PTI) leader Senator Shobeli Faraz has expressed concern over the independence of the judiciary, saying that people’s confidence will not be restored unless the courts work independently.

Talking to the media after appearing in the Peshawar High Court, Faraz criticized the recent court appointments, alleging that the judges were “being selected on the basis of political priorities.”

He emphasized that although the role of the courts is to provide justice, if the people responsible for the delivery of justice are compromised, the people feel insecure.

The children also indicated the formation of a new coalition of political parties, claiming that the PTI would continue to fight politically for the independence of the judiciary and the rule of law.

He pointed out that the state is constitutionally obliged to guarantee the protection of life and property, and when people lose confidence in the ability of the state to do so, it lacks investment and national development. I have a barrier.

In a separate development, the Peshawar High Court extended security bail for PTI leaders Shobeli Faraz and Faisal Javade by March 5.

The court has also sought details of the cases against the two leaders of the federation and issued an order except for their arrest in connection with the registered cases.

The hearing was made in response to a petition filed by Faraz and Javal for details of the cases.
