Peshawar: Police said that Jamiat Ulema Krazal (Joy F) District Amar Abdullah Nadeem injured three others when an Impressed explosive device (IED) exploded during a prayer at a mosque in southern Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday.

All the injured were immediately taken to the District Headquarters Hospital for medical help.
DPO Bahadur said that the police arrived at the blast immediately after the blast and collected the evidence, adding that further investigation was underway.
District police spokesman Habib Islam told the media that no group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
He explained, “Maulana Abdullah has been receiving death threats for a long time and he survived the attack seven or eight months ago.”
Joy-F-head Maulana Fazil-ur-Rehman condemned the mosque blast, saying that his sanctity was violated in the holy month of Ramadan.
“The explosion is tragic and condemnable,” he said in a statement.
He called on the government and institutions to brief the nation about the situation in Balochistan and KP, adding that lawlessness and other important issues are being ignored in both the provinces in Parliament.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned the blast in a statement from his office, saying the incident violated the sanctity of the mosque.
Naqvi was quoted as saying that “the sanctity of the mosque was violated during the holy month of Ramadan.” “Explosion … is the enemy’s cowardly act.”
The interior minister said that the “beast” who attacked Maulana Abdullah and others did not deserve any privileges for early recovery.
Mosques, especially during Friday prayers, are also targeted in KP in the past.
Last month, six people, including Joy leader Maulana Hameed -ul -Haqani, were killed and 15 were injured when a suicide bombing exploded by Darul alum Haqqaniya Seminri in KP Noshera district.
On January 30, 2023, an explosion inside a mosque shook the area of Peshawar police lines, officials said, adding that at least 59 people were killed and 157 were injured.
