Lahore: On Sunday, the Lahore Polo Club organized, the Bank Alfala for the Quaid -e -Azam Gold Cup 2025, the team DS Polo title winner at the 62nd National Open Polo Championship.

In the final, after a passionate contest in the closing moments, DS Polo defeated the FG Polo team 7-6. A large number of fans gathered at the Lahore Polo Club to watch the final match, with the President of the Guest of Honor Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari. He was accompanied by former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, Bank Al -Falah CEO, Club President Malik Azam Hayat Nun, Executive Committee members, and many prominent figures from different sections of the society.

In the final, the FG Polo team maintained their lead for four and a half fours on the DS Polo, but in the last minute, DS Polo scored two brilliant goals to win the match 7-6 and claimed the 62th edition of the Championship Trophy. For DS Polo, Lao Ebalanda scored four goals, Max Will Charlon scored two, and Daniel Sheikh scored the winning goal. For FG Polo, Raul Liplaset broke into five brilliant goals while Mian Abbas Mukhtar was trapped.

At the end of the finals, awards were presented in different categories. Club Secretary Lieutenant Colonel (R) Omar Amir was identified for his team’s excellent performance, as well as the club’s in -charge Mohammad Irfan, Polo manager Mohammad Amran, accounts chief Mohammad Faisal, security officer Mohammad Arif, and Head Groundsman Mohammed. In addition, one of the best polo players of the year, the best Pakistani Polo Player Award was given to Hamza Maaz Khan, and the most important player was received by Mian Abbas Mukhtar.

In the 0-4 goal category, the Best Player Award was given to Raja Samiullah, and Mohammad Ali Malik was given the best player award. -In the category of 0 to 0, the award was presented to Abdullah Khatak, and in the 0-2 goal category, Chaudhry Hayat Mahmood was honored. In the 2-4 goal category, Raja Michael Sami received the Best Player Award, Ibrahim Sultan was recognized by the emerging talent award, and the Lady Player Award was given to Manam Faisal. Ahmad Ali Tawana, the Spirit of Polo Award, went to Faisal Khan, the most valuable Pakistani Player Award, while Max Charlon was presented the Best Foreign Player Award.

In addition, Syed Wajid Ali Trophy was given to Daniel Sheikh’s horse, Anatolia. President Asif Ali Zardari personally distributed the awards to the players and praised all awardees for his excellent performance.
