Opposition leader Amir Ayub Khan in the National Assembly on Wednesday rejected claims outside the Peshawar High Court, accusing him of stealing biscuits from a truck, accusing him of extraordinary allegations.

Ayub acknowledged the allegations but did not provide further details about his origin. He also commented on his legal problems, saying that the police were present in the proceedings after his bail was canceled in the Rawalpindi court, indicating a possible arrest.

Talking about the absence of his party from the recent National Security Committee (NSC) meeting, Ayub said that he had already requested a meeting with his party’s founder, Imran Khan. He explained, “When our meeting’s request was refused, we decided not to attend.”

Ayub also highlighted that political parties from Balochistan also boycotted the NSC session, which pointed to the region’s deteriorating security situation. He said, “Balochistan is burning,” he said, confirming the condemnation of his party of Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), a separatist group responsible for several attacks.
