Jeddah: Recognizing the importance of mutual cooperation efforts to tackle regional security challenges, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have confirmed their commitment to strengthen defense and security cooperation.
According to PTC reports on Thursday, a meeting between Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was confirmed in Jeddah.
The Prime Minister, who is on a four -day visit to the country, was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir and Chief Minister for Minister for Minister for Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz.
The meeting confirmed strong and historic relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, focusing on enhancing cooperation in economic, trade, investment, energy and defense sectors.
The Prime Minister praised the kingdom’s commitment to the growing investment in key sectors, which will help in Pakistan’s economic growth and stability. The two leaders discussed the deepest regional situation as well as the geographical political landscape.
He agreed to work closely at all levels to promote his shared vision for peace, stability and prosperity in the region. The Saudi Crown Prince acknowledged the important partnership of the Pakistani community in Saudi Arabia and agreed to take steps to facilitate its welfare.
The two leaders emphasized the need to further strengthen people’s relations, cultural exchange and educational cooperation with the people. The Prime Minister and the Crown Prince, while guideing a joint vision for mutual respect, common interests, and progress and prosperity, confirmed their commitment to bring Saudi Arabia’s partnership to new heights.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has called his meeting with Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah as a fruitful that he has organized a debate over further strengthening Pakistan Saudi Arabia’s relations in trade, investment, energy and security.
In a post in his X -handle, he thanked the Saudi Crown Prince for the constant support of the kingdom with Pakistan. “The joint vision for our sustainable friendship and prosperity is taking our bilateral relations to new heights and turning it into a mutual economic contribution,” he said. The Prime Minister also praised the Saudi Crown Prince’s important role in bringing peace to the Middle East and Ukraine.
