Islamabad: Uzbek Ambassador to Uzbekistan on Friday said that bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Pakistan will be more prosperous and bilateral trade will also set a new record.

Addressing the audience at the Iftar dinner organized by the Uzbekistan Embassy on the occasion of Nawroz Holiday, the ambassador expressed his gratitude for celebrating Nawroz – a festival that is a sign of a new start, renewal and beauty.

“This year, the Nawroz has come to the same time as the holy month of Ramadan – the time of reflection, unity and generosity. This special moment allows us to celebrate both the renewal of nature and the blessings of Ramadan. Today, we have gathered with our dear friends, not only in the happiness of Navaroz.

“We not only welcome Bihar but also respect deep religious and cultural traditions that unite our brotherhood and the entire Muslim Ummah,” said the envoy.

He said, “Nawroz, which means ‘New Day’, has been celebrated for more than 3,000 years by different cultures and civilizations. This ancient festival represents the renewal of nature, harmony between people and the environment, and the victory of light on darkness,” he said. And this is a common cultural heritage of the people of the East.

“It collects millions of people from different countries, regardless of borders, languages, or ethnic backgrounds. From the vast Asian places to the dynamic cities of the Middle East, from the mountains of Caucasus to the hearts of South Asia, the Nawroz reminds us that we are all connected.”

He said that Nawroz represents the global values of peace, unity and thankfulness for the blessings of nature.

“It is a time of happiness, hope and a new beginning, when families and friends share festive food together, enjoy traditional dance, and do favors with each other. For Uzbekistan, Nawroz has a special place in our culture and society. It is just a celebration – it is our basic values, our basic values, our basic values.”

Ambassador Elisher said that during this time, people help the needy, strengthen social relations, and express their gratitude for the blessings of nature.

“One of the most beloved traditional dishes of Nawroz is a symbol, a symbol of prosperity and patience, which is developed with love and shared with families and neighbors. Today, our embassy is honored to share with you as a symbol of our friendship, brotherhood and unity.”

He said that the celebration of Nawroz is also deeply linked to the values of Pakistan. The two countries share a rich historical and cultural heritage, strong brotherhood and regional cooperation. He added that both Uzbekistan and Pakistan believe in the protection of traditions by accepting progress.

“Today, when we celebrate Nawroz together, we confirm our dedication to strengthen people with people and enhance cooperation between our countries.
In the world facing many challenges, the Nawroz reminds us of the importance of harmony, renewal and mutual respect. Let us use this opportunity to promote peace, understanding and friendship all over the world. This Nawroz brought us all prosperity, good health and happiness.
