Journalist Vid Murad 'kidnapped' from Islamabad's house at night

According to his family and legal representatives, senior journalist Waheed Murad was allegedly abducted from his residence in Sector G8 early Wednesday.

Murad’s wife, talking Geo NewsIn the black uniforms, masked men forcibly entered their house around 2am, claiming that her husband was an Afghan citizen. In response, when Murad provided his identity card under the door, these men broke into both of his and his mother -in -law, and took it into a black car, called “put”.

At the time of the incident, Murad’s wife was abroad, while her mother was at home. He allegedly requested the enclosures to send the female officers, but the request was denied. Family sources confirmed that the incident took place on Chaman Road in the G8 sector of Islamabad.

After the alleged abduction, Murad’s mother -in -law filed a petition for her recovery by lawyers Aman Mazari and Hadi Ali Chattha. The petition has been named after the interior and defense secretaries, Islamabad Police Chief, and the SHO of Karachi Company Police Station as respondents.

According to the request, the men in the black uniforms enrolled with two vehicles with the police and abused the family during the operation. Although a complaint was lodged at the Karachi Company Police Station, no FIR has been registered till date.

The petition orders the court to order immediate rehabilitation of the court and initiate legal proceedings against those involved in which it is described as his illegal abduction.
