SialkotDefense Minister Khawaja Asif said on Sunday addressing the internal dispute within the Pakistan Tehreek -e -Insaf (PTI), calling the party a deep division. He remarked that the PTI “reflects the number of members of its members”, reflecting the growing fighting among senior party personalities.

During his speech at a program in Sialkot, Asif criticized PTI members for approaching each other, adding, “We do not have to abuse them, they are abusing each other themselves.” He pointed to the ongoing tension between key PTI figures such as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Speaker Babar Saleem Swati and former Senator Azam Swati, as well as former Minister Timur Saleem Zhagra and the party’s internal accountability committee.

Asif also cited the differences between KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandpur and PTI provincial president Junaid Akbar, which has led to further discrimination within the party. Despite these rituals, Akbar confirmed last week that these issues have been resolved following the guidance of PTI founder Imran Khan.

The Defense Minister did not withdraw the PTI founders labeling the “international thief”, while also noting that the party members called each other a thief. Asif attributed the party’s current struggle to these divisions and internal disputes.
