Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif reaffirmed the national commitment to ensure healthcare facilities and welfare and welfare of every citizen, emphasizing that the health of mothers and children, healthy families and stable communities is the basis of a promising nation and guaranteed a bright future for all.

In a message on the World Health Day celebrated on April 7, he said that this year’s theme “Healthy Start, Hopeful Future” highlights the importance of the health of newly born children.

He said that Pakistan had made considerable progress in ensuring the good health of the mother and the child, but he added that, however, a long journey has been made. He remarked, “We have to strengthen our health system in a way that can effectively deal with medical and various social factors that affect the child and health of newly born children.”

“Our government is committed to utilizing modern technology in the health sector and will establish a strong partnership to improve public health care,” he said.

The Prime Minister said, “Celebrating World Health Day 2025, let us reaffirm the need for a coordinated and multi -sectarian perspective for health. This view should include coordinating and practical steps in health care, education, nutrition, environment and management.”
