The government started a housing scheme for police personnel.
ISLAMABAD: In a historic development, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced a long-awaited housing scheme for police personnel, making it the first of its kind in 25 years.
The goal of the NPFD One Capital Park City project is to improve the living conditions of police officers, their families and martyrs. Inaugurating the project in Islamabad, Naqvi emphasized that the housing scheme will provide deserving plots to police personnel, families of deceased personnel and those injured or killed in the line of duty.
Furthermore, Naqvi emphasized the government’s commitment to prioritize police welfare through the National Police Foundation. He himself distributed allotment of land to police officers in various provinces as a token of gratitude for their work.
The Home Minister congratulated the deputed police officers and emphasized the need to take care of those who serve the nation with sincerity.
Naqvi praised the foundation for generating profits for rehabilitation programs in the police force. Furthermore, he assured that the government is working diligently to meet the needs of the families of the martyrs who deserve government assistance.
Besides, Naqvi also asserted that the injured police officers are getting help from the National Police Foundation.
Going forward, the Home Minister envisioned a joint venture between the National Police Foundation and the Capital Development Authority (CDA) for the benefit of police personnel. It also proposes facilities for families of martyrs and disabled police officers. Senior officials including Inspector General Police Punjab participated in the event.
