Iqra University’s Bold Fashion Show Faces Backlash

Iqra University is one of the famous universities of Pakistan. The university is currently facing backlash for exhibiting a daring fashion show. Iqra University Fashion Odyssey 2024 was organized by AIFD and Iqra University. The grand event showcased the collection of talented young designers from Iqra University. Top models walked the ramp and famous fashion icons also participated in the event.

Iqra University’s bold fashion show is facing severe backlash. Social media users feel that the name of the university does not match the kind of bold clothes they design. Another social media user wrote that ‘Iqra is the first word sent by Allah and he is being silly with that word’. Most were of the opinion that the university was promoting obscenity in the name of creativity. Many people said that today’s youth have chosen the wrong path for them and prefer to follow western fashion and culture.
