Chicken prices drop in Lahore, Punjab Latest rates here
Lahore: The prices of chicken, pulses and other commodities have decreased in the cities of Punjab including Lahore due to the decrease in inflation.
According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), inflation on a Sensitive Price Index (SPI) basis for the week ending November 28, 2024 decreased by 0.03 percent.
During the week, out of 51 commodities, 12 (23.53 percent) commodity prices increased, 09 (17.65 percent) commodity prices decreased and 30 (58.82 percent) commodity prices remained stable. A decrease in the price of chicken was recorded by 3.78%, in the price of tomato by 2.23%, in the price of pulses and gram by 1.60% and in the price of basmati rice by 1.15%.
In Lahore, the price of chicken meat decreased by Rs 15 to Rs 453 per kg compared to Rs 468 per kg on Thursday.
Similarly, the price of live broiler chicken decreased by Rs 10 to Rs 299 per kg in the wholesale market and Rs 313 in the retail market.

According to the official rates, there has been no change in the prices of eggs since yesterday, while in Lahore and other cities of Punjab, the price of eggs per dozen is Rs 350.
As per Sensitive Price Index (SPI) based inflation, prices of wheat flour (35.17 per cent), chilli powder (20.00 per cent), diesel (13.92 per cent), petrol (11.64 per cent) decreased in year-on-year trend. Seen. percent), tea lipton (9.91 percent), rice basmati totti (9.37 percent), dal masoor (9.14 percent), bread (5.99 percent), electricity charges for Q1 (5.07 percent), cooking oil 5 liters (2.13 percent). and sugar (1.71 percent).
