Significant increase in gold prices in Pakistan
KARACHI: On Friday, the price of gold in Pakistan recorded its second increase this week.
The price of 24 carat gold increased by Rs 2 from Rs 2,100 per tola to Rs 277,300 while the price of 10 kg rose by Rs 10. 1,800 to Rs 237,740, according to data released by the All Sindh Sarafa Jewelers Association (ASSJA).
On Monday and Tuesday, the price of the precious metal reported a loss of Rs. 4,100 and Rs.4,300 per tola respectively. The price increased by Rs. 1,600 per tola on Wednesday and then fell by Rs. 700 per tola on Thursday.
According to the association, the price of gold in the world market increased by 21 dollars from 2640 dollars to 2661 dollars.
