Ishna Shah is one of the leading women in the Pakistani drama industry. Aashna, who made her debut with Bishar Momin, has not looked back and is seen as the leading heroine in all her projects. He is currently the main face of two big dramas, Ghair and E Ishq Junoon. She was hosting her recent show with Salim Meraj and talked about the realities of being a heroine in Pakistani dramas.
Ishna Shah said that it is very difficult to be a heroine. He compared his work to that of the supporting cast and revealed how difficult it is for the main face of the show.
He said that the heroine has to be given 75 to 80 days for the play as she will be in every other scene. In our dramas, she is treated like a showpiece and many times she has to sit and cry on the chest. Thus, it is very difficult to become a heroine. He said that according to him many supporting actors are paid much more than him.
