Kotri North Gas Field is a joint venture between Pakistan Petroleum Limited, United Energy Pakistan Limited, and Asia Resources Oil Limited.

This cooperation highlights the importance of partnership in developing the energy sector.

Gas from the Tikri One well is being processed at the Aliabad Processing Plant before being fed into the Sui Southern Gas System, ensuring that it reaches consumers efficiently.

The development comes as a significant step forward for Pakistan’s energy sector, which has been struggling with shortages and over-dependence on imported fuel.

Local production of gas not only reduces costs but also enhances energy conservation.

Experts believe that this move will help stabilize the energy market and meet the growing demand for natural gas.

PPL’s successful operation in the Kotri North block reflects Pakistan’s natural resource potential and the company’s commitment to unlocking that potential.

The start of gas production is a promising milestone, signaling progress in tackling the country’s energy challenges.

Continued efforts in exploration and production can significantly reduce Pakistan’s dependence on foreign energy sources.
