National cricketer Ahmed Shehzad expressed his disappointment over his name not being included in the PSL draft for the 10th edition of Pakistan Super League PSL.

The cricketer took to his YouTube channel to express his frustration, accusing the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) of using his name for promotional purposes.

Ahmed Shahzad openly criticized the PCB’s decision and questioned why his name was included in the PSL 10 draft.

The cricketer emphasized that his decision to quit the PSL was rooted in concerns about lack of merit and prioritizing connections over talent. “I stand by my decision to quit the PSL for these reasons,” asserted Shahzad.

In 2023, Ahmed Shahzad announced his retirement from the PSL, citing dissatisfaction with the league’s meritocracy.

He criticized the PCB for using his name without consultation. Shahzad demanded that the PCB should explain why my name was included without my consent.

The controversy comes at a time when PSL 10 is making a major splash.

In related news, Australian cricketer David Warner has emerged as the most expensive player in the draft while Pakistani fast bowler Ahsanullah has boycotted the tournament citing fairness concerns.

Despite joining, Shahzad is adamant about his stance of staying away from the league. “My decision to quit the PSL was based on principles, and I will not compromise on that,” he said, stressing that the PCB’s move has added to his frustration.
