Sialkot/Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz inaugurated the scholarship program for Gujranwala division on Wednesday by distributing the scholarship checks to ten toppers of the university.

On their arrival at Government College University (GCWU) Sialkot, the students expressed their immense enthusiasm and happiness. Chief Minister Punjab appreciated and expressed his love for the students who presented National Anthem, National Song, Recitation of Holy Quran, Naat Rasool Maqbool PBUH.

He also took a selfie and photo with the students who presented Kalam Iqbal. When the line “Teacher the youth to feet” was delivered, the students clapped enthusiastically.

Addressing the scholarship distribution ceremony at Government College Women University, Sialkot, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz directed the concerned authorities to increase the number of scholarships to 50 thousand in the next year’s budget.

“30,000 scholarships are being given to children but they are less, there should be more. Increase the merit scholarships from 30,000 to 50,000,” he said, asserting that public money is a sacred trust and should be used for public welfare. must be spent. “Very soon, second and third year students will also get merit scholarships,” he added.

He highlighted, “Irrespective of political affiliation, all are being given scholarships on appointment rather than any recommendation. 100% merit is assured. Don’t thank me for getting a scholarship, it’s your right.” And the fruit of your hard work.” She flagged, “I can swear that I have not made a single appointment as chief minister on the recommendation of any body.”

Claiming that the Honahar Scholarship Scheme is the first and largest scholarship program in the country’s history, he said that he was happy to see talented sons and daughters reaping the fruits of their labor.

The Chief Minister said that the largest part of Pakistan’s population consists of youth, therefore the priorities of his government are their development and grooming.

Chief Minister Maryam said that I have become the Chief Minister today with the prayers of my parents. However, I do not think as a chief minister but as a mother for students. She added, “I love it when you call me mother. A mother’s duty is to create paths for her children to grow.”

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that all these daughters are our pride, all the topper girls here have proved that girls are not behind in any field. “Students are all my earnings and my assets,” he added.

According to the scholarship plan, 1947 students of Gujranwala division will get scholarships worth Rs 90 million, 1276 students of government universities will get scholarships of Rs 58 million, 481 students of colleges will get scholarships of Rs 13 million and standard private universities. Scholarships will be given to 112 students of educational institutions and 78 students of medical colleges.
