Lahore: Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said on Saturday that Pakistan is the first country to implement the Digital Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) initiative, launched by the World Economic Forum (WEF) and the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO).
According to the spokesperson, the prime minister said that Pakistan’s first digital FDI project is making significant efforts to identify targets and promote digital development.
He clarified that Pakistan’s digital FDI plan is a framework aimed at implementing digital infrastructure, digitization and export of digital services. He added that it will focus on sectors that can attract foreign investment in the country.
