Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has returned home after spending five days at Lilavati Hospital where he was being treated for injuries sustained in the recent attack.
The incident took place on January 16 when an assailant stabbed the actor six times, causing severe injuries, one of which was dangerously close to his spine.
After his release, Saif was seen entering his Bandra residence, casually dressed in a white shirt and jeans.
Security personnel and police personnel escorted them. Visible injuries, including a plastered left arm and bandages on his neck and back, highlight the severity of the attack.
Authorities have confirmed the arrest of the attacker, but the motive behind the attack is still unknown. The investigation is still ongoing as officials work to determine a motive.
Fans expressed relief at Saif’s recovery and praised law enforcement for their quick response. The attack has also reignited the conversation about the security challenges facing prominent public figures.

Earlier, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is expected to be discharged from Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital today, according to doctors.
Lilavati Hospital’s Dr Nitin Dange confirmed the development on Tuesday morning. “Khan’s discharge papers were prepared last night and he will leave the hospital between 10 am and 12 am”, he said.
Saif Ali Khan was admitted to Lilavati Hospital last Thursday after a shocking stabbing incident during an attempted burglary at his home in Mumbai. The assailant allegedly stabbed the actor about six times with a sharp knife and fled the scene.
After the attack, Khan was rushed to Lilavati Hospital in an autorickshaw where he underwent two surgeries to treat his injuries.
The Mumbai Police is actively investigating the matter and has taken into custody the suspects involved in the attack.
