New York: About 100 protesters were taken into custody on Thursday after protesting inside the Trump Tower, demanding the release of Mahmoud Khalil.
The demonstration took place, led by the Jewish Voice for Peace, at Manhattan’s famous Trump Tower Attime. Protesters called for an end to the illicit detention of Khalil and other activists who supported Palestinian rights.
The rally began around the afternoon, with protesters wearing red shirts, including “not in our name” and “Jews say that Israel has to be armed.” The slogans of “Free Mahmood Khalil” echoed through Ethmic when protesters showed banners “never for anyone” and “Jews say they do not comply with it,” condemn them, condemning them that Palestinian voices are targeting.
The New York Police Department (NYPD) finally intervened, which arrested 98 people. Among the detainees, 50 in zip relationships were evacuated. Authorities confirmed that there were no reports of injuries or damage to property during the event.

While Khalil is in the custody of Louisiana, human rights groups and workers continue to pressurize it. He has warned that his case is a sign of a sharp effort to stop Palestinian supporters in the United States.
CNN’s national security analyst, Juliet Kaim, noted that the Trump Tower protests indicates the growing resistance against policies to silence Palestine. “This movement is gaining momentum,” he said.
