Ask government employees for details of assets within 60 days.
KARACHI: In a major development, the Sindh government has sought full details of assets from civil servants under Rule 13 of the Sindh Civil Servant Rules, 2008.
According to the circular issued by the government, all officers from grade 17 to 22 will be required to submit their annual asset details to the government.
The circular added that the officials are required to furnish the details of their assets to the government within the next 60 days through their respective departments.
“The officials have to inform about the cash and the value of their business and properties,” according to the circular.
According to the Sindh government, the aim of this initiative is to protect the data of government officials. Additionally, officers who do not follow the policy will face serious consequences.
“Departmental action will be taken against those government servants, who fail to provide details of their assets,” the circular said.
