Lahore: Team Balochistan defeated Team Army 6-4½ in a thrilling final to clinch the trophy in the Major General Saeed Zaman Jinjawa Memorial Polo Cup organized by JS Bank, which concluded at the Jinnah Polo Fields on Sunday.

A huge and enthusiastic crowd from Lahore gathered to witness the final match. The chief guest of the program, Lt. Gen. Farooq Ahmed Khan, graced the occasion, accompanied by Majid Qureshi, Regional Head of JS Bank, Brij Budroz Zaman (R), son of Maj. Gen. Saeed Zaman, and Club Secretary Maj. Along with Ali Taimur (R), and including Major Ali Taimur (R). . Many polo players and fans also participated.

Before the finals, an exhibition two-round match was held between the young girls and young boys teams, where the girls’ team defeated their opponents 4-0. The final match between Team Balochistan and Team Army was a great contest. Team Army maintained the lead through the first three chokers. However, Team Balochistan put up an exceptional performance in the fourth chukker to secure the win.

For Team Balochistan, Raja Mikel Sami led the scoring with three goals, while Ahmad Bilal Riaz, Mumtaz Abbas Niazi, and Lt. Col. Shahian Abbasi contributed one goal each. On the other hand, Team Army’s two goals were scored by Raja Samiullah, with an additional two-goal handicap advantage.

The Best Pony award went to Tatli, owned by Ahmed Bilal Riaz, while the Best Player of the Final was awarded to Raja Mikel Sami. In the subsidiary final, Diamond Pants beat DS Polo 7-4.
