LAHORE: Punjab Police has reinforced its safety capabilities by introducing bulletproof vehicles for special operations to counter crime and terrorism.

New lace vehicles will be used during criminal groups, border security threats and targeted acts against terrorist raids.

A police spokesman confirmed that both single and double cabin bulletproof vehicles are now part of the police force works. These vehicles have been made especially in high -risk conditions to offer personnel protection, including criminal groups and clashes in terrorist attacks. The move also focuses on increasing security personnel during operations on border security posts.

Punjab Inspector General (IG), Dr Usman Anwar, revealed that the Anti -Terrorism Department (CTD) will also get a raft of bulletproof vehicles to increase the effects of terrorism and raids on social elements. Similarly, the Crime Control Department (CCD) and the special branch personnel will benefit from these vehicles to manage more securely sensitive operations.

The increase of bulletproof vehicles is expected to improve the time and safety of the police personnel during the dangerous or remote areas. These vehicles will provide additional protection for police officers stationed at key border security checkpoints.

In a related development, Punjab Police have launched an intelligence search operation in areas adjacent to Rahim Yar Khan, such as Paka Chandia and Dawala. The purpose of this operation is to target criminals and their facilitators, resulting in the arrest of two men belonging to the criminals already. As part of the ongoing crackdown, their whereabouts have also been demolished.

Search operation, under the supervision of ASP Sadiqabad, with Elite Commandos and a major police force, Kot Sabzal, Bhong, and Ahmedpur Lama have an integrated effort by SHOS. Bulletproof vehicles are being widely used in operation to increase safety and efficiency.

Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized the importance of handing over all the facilitators of the criminals to the culprits, emphasizing that such measures are necessary to ensure long -term peace and stability in the region.

Introduction to bulletproof vehicles represents an important step in the Punjab Police’s continued efforts to deal with crime and terrorism with maximum performance and protection for its personnel.
