Beijing: The Chinese Ministry of Commerce on Friday strongly opposed the US threat to impose another 10 percent of the tax on goods imported from China, which began on Friday, March 4, and vowed to take “necessary anti -measures” to protect China’s legitimate rights and interests.
“China has repeatedly emphasized that unilateral revenue violates the rules of the World Trade Organization and damages the multilateral trade system. A spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said that China strongly oppose the US move.
The United States cited the so -called fantasy issue as an excuse for the latest tariff threat.
The spokesman said that China has some harsh and extremely strict anti -drug policies in the world and is active in international drug co -operation with countries around the world, including the United States.
However, the United States has permanently neglected permanent facts, the spokesperson added that it has imposed a 10 % tariff on goods imported from China, citing fantasy and other reasons, and is now at risk of imposing additional taxes.
The spokesman said that China hopes that the United States will not work on the wrong path and will return to the right path to resolve differences through equal dialogue.
The spokesman added that if the United States remains on its actions, China will take all necessary response to defending its legitimate rights and interests.
The country’s Foreign Ministry also condemned Washington for such actions.
China has repeatedly said that there is no winner in the trade war or tariff war.
