Clash of PTI workers with Chief Minister Gandapur at D Chowk
ISLAMABAD: Tensions flared during a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest in Islamabad when party workers expressed their anger at the lack of progress, with one throwing a bottle at Ali Amin Gandapur.
Ali Amin Gandapur and PTI founder’s wife Bushra Bibi were among the activists in Islamabad. Frustrated members confronted the leaders in their vehicles and urged them to proceed towards D Chowk.
According to media reports, activists tried to attack Gandapur when he tried to address him outside his vehicle. However, the crowd demanded action instead of speeches.
In protest, activists surrounded Gandapur’s vehicle, mounted one and alleged that the leader was sitting comfortably.
Facing mounting pressure, Gandapour called security and returned to the car.
