Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur on Tuesday ordered the release of Rs 5.5 billion to meet various police needs and strengthen and strengthen the police force in the province.

KPCM Ali Amin Khan Gandapur issued a directive chairing an important meeting on police affairs in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat here.

KP Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah, Inspector General of Police Zulfiqar Hameed, Mohammad Abid Majeed, the house of Additional Chief Secretary, and senior officials of the Finance and Police Department also attended the meeting.

During the details, it was decided to immediately release Rs 3 billion for the purchase of bulletproofing of police vehicles and other advanced equipment.

In addition, it was decided that it was decided to provide Rs 1.3 billion to set up special weapons and plans (SWAT) teams (SWAT) teams (SWAT) teams (SWAT) equipped with modern technology at the district level and provide Rs 1.3 billion to check the posts. In addition, under the Annual Development Program (ADP), Rs 500 million will be released for the rest of the projects which are related to the construction of police stations and Rs 720 million for the purchase of night vision springs, sniper rifles and other goods for the police force.

The Chief Minister also decided to ‘in principle’ that he would bring the salaries of police officers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to the salaries of Balochistan police officers and Punjab police personnel.

During the briefing, it was informed that the salaries of police officers in Balochistan are the highest in all the provinces, while the salary of police personnel in Punjab is higher than any other province.

Shareing his views during the meeting, CM Gandapur announced his government as a top priority. He emphasized, “Given the current security situation in the province, it is very important to strengthen the police force in every possible way”, adding that from the first day, the provincial government has been spending good resources to increase the capabilities of the police.

He reiterated, “Funds will be provided on a priority basis to meet the needs of the police.”

The KPCM added that it is very important to equip the police force to tackle the current security challenges, and there will be no compromise on the matter.

He acknowledged the bravery and sacrifices of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police force in combating terrorism and expressed pride of their performance. He also made it clear that the provincial government would not hinder financial obstacles to fulfill the needs of the police.
