Former England fast bowler Darren Gough has been appointed as the head coach of Lahore Qalandars for the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 10.
Darren Gough will be the head coach of Lahore Qalandars for PSL 2025, the franchise announced on Wednesday.
Gough, 54, returns to the Qalandars after guiding the team to the final of the Global Super League last year.
Lahore Qalandars tweeted on 9 January 2025, “Our newly appointed head coach, Darren Gough 🗣️”.
Expressing his excitement about joining the PSL, Gough said, “The PSL is a fantastic platform with great talent in the Qalandars squad. We want to compete strongly this season with the support of our fans.”
The Yorkshire cricket veteran brings a wealth of experience to the role, holding England’s record for most ODI wickets during his playing career from 1994 to 2006. After his playing career, he served as England’s bowling consultant in 2020 and later became Yorkshire’s managing director. Cricket

The appointment gives Gough plenty of time to prepare the team ahead of the 2025 PSL season, where the Lahore Qalandars will compete against five other franchises in Pakistan’s top cricket league.
