Birmingham: Since 2025 Roth County Championship began in England on Friday, April 4, five Pakistani cricketers are ready to make their identity in the tournament.
Pakistan’s Test team captain Sean Masood, fast bowler Hassan Ali, Mohammad Abbas, Kashif Ali, and spinner Zafar Gohar will all participate in the event.
Masood, Hassan and Gohar will also be part of their teams for the Jurenable T20 Blast Tournament, which begins in June. While Masood and Hassan will be available after completing their PSL promises, Abbas will be playing three matches in May and three to six in September.
The newcomer Kashif has joined Ali Kent but will not be part of his opening match against Northamptonshire. Zafar Gohar, who has acquired British citizenship, will be playing for the middle sex at Lord’s in his opening match.

Glory
Masood, 35, will play for the Leicestershire County Cricket Club in all formats. After being successful with Derbashire and Yorkshire, Masood will join Leicestershire at the end of May. His remarkable performances in county cricket have reminded him of the Pakistan National Squad.
Hassan
Hassan returns to Warwakshire for the third consecutive year. After solid 2023 season, where he took 24 wickets in the county championship, he will join the Warwakshire at the end of May, which is available for all formats.
Mohammad Abbas
Abbas, who is known for his permanent performances, will represent Nottingham Shire in the 2025 County Championship. Earlier, after playing for Hampshire and Leicestershire, Abbas is ready to debut for notice in six matches in May and September.
Kashif Ali
Kashif has joined the Kent County Cricket Club in the 2024 season. Although he may not be prominent in his opening match, it is his first county cricket cricket after taking 110 wickets in his first class career.
Zafar Ghar
Gohar will play for the middle sex as a local player. After being impressed by the glustershire, he joined the middle sex in the 2025 season and will appear in his opening match against Lancashire.
