Islamabad: On Thursday, Pakistan expressed serious concerns over India’s alleged involvement in the targets of the country and abroad, which urged the international community to note the matter.
Addressing a weekly press briefing, Foreign Office (FO) spokesman Shafqat Ali Khan said that Pakistan is engaged in the issue with several countries. He emphasized the need for a global vigilance about the unstable effects of arms transfer to India, which he claimed that New Delhi’s hedimonic ambitions were airing.
Khan warned that “such measures harm regional peace and stability.”
Talking about the Kashmir issue, the spokesperson reiterated Pakistan’s position, and emphasized the UN Security Council (UNSC) resolutions and a peaceful resolution in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
“We are attracting the atrocities committed by India in occupied Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
On the Palestinian crisis, Khan expressed concern over the proposal to displace the people of Gaza, calling it “deeply disturbing and injustice”. He emphasized that Palestinian land belongs to its people, adding that the only viable solution is to establish an independent Palestinian state under UNSC resolutions.
Khan also highlighted the ongoing diplomatic engagements, including consultation with the United States, and meetings with Serbia, Uzbekistan and Qatar, to strengthen bilateral relations. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar is ready to lead the Pakistani delegation on February 5.
The spokesman concluded Pakistan’s commitment to promote peace and cooperation while dealing with emerging security threats.
