Lahore: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has confirmed the government’s commitment to equip the youth with modern skills and emphasized that all possible help is being provided to enhance their digital capabilities.
Presiding over a review meeting at his camp office in Lahore on Sunday, he discussed the implementation of ICT training to 300,000 youths in collaboration with Huawei Technologies. Representatives of Huawei Technologies also attended the meeting.
The debate focuses on measures to equip young people with modern digital skills and provide world -class IT training. The meeting also reviewed the progress of the contracts with Huawei Technologies during the Prime Minister’s visit last year.
Shahbaz Sharif identified the youth’s role in the driving technological development and the digital revolution. He said that Huawei’s ICT training program will not only promote IT exports but will also create employment opportunities for young professionals.
Representatives of Huawei Technologies reaffirmed their commitment to launch modern training programs in Pakistan. Under this initiative, training will be provided in artificial intelligence, cyberself, cloud computing, and other emerging technologies.
The Prime Minister was informed that 300,000 young people will receive online ICT training. To facilitate this, the ICT Training Portal will be officially launched by Shehbaz Sharif.
It is noteworthy that Huawei Technologies has already trained 20,315 students under the move. The program aims to hold students, trainers and ICT professionals, with master trainers, Huawei trained, locally conducting sessions.
The Prime Minister urges elected representatives to be associated with people
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif directed the elected representatives to maintain close contact with the people in their constituencies and actively resolve their concerns.
He gave these instructions during a meeting with members of National Assembly Mohammad Azhar Qayyum Nahara and Abdul Ghafar Wato on Sunday.
During the debate, the MNA apprised the Prime Minister about various issues and development projects in his own constituencies.
In addition, Member Punjab Assembly Feda Hussain Wato also called on the Prime Minister to discuss regional issues.
