Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday despite judicial orders to former Prime Minister Imran Khan, contempt of court against the Secretary of Interior and Adiala Jail Superintendent for not allowing former Prime Minister Imran Khan to meet his friends. In response to the request, he sought a record of two requests.

IHC Justice Anim Amin Minhas chaired the hearing on Khan’s request, which was initially objected to by the Registrar’s Office. Advocate Faisal Chaudhry argued that the registrar’s office does not have the authority to decide the confession of the petitions, which states that only the court has the jurisdiction of governance on such matters.

The Advocate CH stressed that a petition was filed for violation of court orders. He made it clear that a separate request for meetings between Imran Khan and his wife Bashara Babi is already pending before the Chief Justice’s court, while the petition has denied Khan’s meetings with his friends. –

He further said that the Superintendent of Adiala Jail has assured the court of Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq that the meetings will be facilitated, which will result in the dismissal of the preliminary request. However, despite this assurance, meetings were not arranged, which requested a blasphemy request.

The court has now directed the court to be linked to the court order on January 28, 2025 and requested the request for both contempt of petitions before the hearing.
