Rawalpindi: The Chief of General Staff (CGS) of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Baqeri, visited the General Headquarters (GHQ) of Pakistan and met the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir. This was informed by the media wing of the army on Monday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), during the meeting, the two sides discussed the current regional security environment and explored avenues for bilateral defense cooperation.
On arrival, Major General Baqeri laid a wreath at the martyrs’ memorial and paid tribute to the martyrs of Pakistan. The armed forces of Pakistan Army gave him a guard of honour.
The visit marks the continued efforts of the two countries to strengthen regional security ties and enhance bilateral military cooperation.
