Riyadh: Pakistan and Saudi Arabia on Wednesday agreed to set up a joint committee to promote mutual cooperation in the media production, which includes films, songs and documentary films.
The agreement took place during a meeting between the Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting, National Heritage, and Culture, Itolullah Tarr, and Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Yusuf al -Dosari on the occasion of the Saudi Media Forum.
During the meeting, the two sides emphasized the need for maximum cooperation in the media sectors, especially through journalist exchange programs and special training. He also discussed ways to counter fake news and propaganda, emphasizing the importance of spreading reliable information.
The Minister congratulated Saudi Arabia on the successful organization of the fourth edition of the Saudi Media Forum and highlighted the strong ties between the two countries, which he said was developing in economic partnerships. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to deepen relations with Saudi Arabia, and called the kingdom a “second home” for Pakistan.
