Gaza: Israeli airstrikes hit a tent near two major hospitals in Gaza overnight, killing at least two people, including a Palestinian journalist and injuring at least nine others, six of whom were reporters.
According to hospital staff, one of the strikes targeted a media tent outside Nasir Hospital in Khan Younis around 2am, killing and killing Yusuf al -Fakawi, a reporter on the Palestinian Today website. Another person was killed in the blast.
The Israeli military confirmed that it had targeted Hamas in the area but did not provide further details. It says it tries to avoid civilian casualties and Hamas is held responsible for working in densely populated areas.
Three more people were injured when Israeli troops targeted Israeli troops near the Al -Aqsa Shahada Hospital in Dir al -Bala in Central Gaza.
Hospitals reported additional deaths from other strikes overnight. Nasir Hospital said it found 13 more bodies, including six women and four children. Al -Hassa Hospital confirmed two more deaths and three injured in a separate strike on a city house.
Thousands of homeless Palestinians have taken refuge in temporary tents in the hospital field during an 18 -month dispute, believed to be less likely to fire these sites.
Israel has previously raided several hospitals, alleging that Hamas uses them for military operations. Hospital staff has repeatedly denied the claims.
According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, more than 50,000 Palestinians, most women and children have been killed in Israeli aggression in Gaza. The military claims that at least 20,000 militants are killed, though they have not provided verified data.
The ongoing bombing has destroyed the infrastructure and has been displaced by about 90 % of the Gaza population.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to meet with US President Donald Trump in Washington after Monday.
The meeting will focus on Gaza and wider regional issues, including a controversial proposal by Trump to support the resettlement of a large number of Ghazan abroad. Rights groups have warned that such a move could lead to forced migration to violating international law.
Israel has stopped the entry of necessary aid since March, which has rapidly affected human crisis and access to food, fuel and medicines.
Despite international pressure for ceasefire, Israel continues its operations, unless all hostages are released and Hamas suffers defeat.
