  • We want to make a written agreement to eliminate the possibility of any misconception or accusation in the future: Senator Murtaza

Islamabad: Former ally of the ruling coalition, Jamiat Ulema-e-Fazal (Joy-F) Senator Kamran Murtaza has sought an “written assurance” to tackle his reservations to participate in the protests of the joint anti-Eid-ul-Fitr after the Eid-ul-Fitr.

“We want PTI to contract with Joy F to eliminate any misunderstanding or accusation in the future,” Senator Murtaza told a private TV channel.

The JUI-F-Senator added that the process of consensus could be kicked only after Eid as he and others in the party had already left for their hometowns for holidays.

JUIF responded to the Senator, PTI Senator Mohammad Humayun Mohammad agreed, saying, “It was also Sunnah to record the contracts in writing.”

The two senators also agreed that there were “confidence issues” because of their history between the two political parties, but agreed that they were now on this reform.

Senator Murtaza added, “The protest can be located in D Chowk or elsewhere, which can be decided by consensus.”

“The decision has been decided, but it is still decided whether we will jointly protest with the PTI or separate.”

PTI Senator Mohammed replied whether the protest took place separately or jointly, it was decided that this would happen, and it could possibly be a “two -dimensional approach” against the government.

Earlier this month, Joy-FF chief Maulana Fazllar Rehman also revealed plans to launch a nationwide protest campaign with the PTI after the Eidol Fttor, which cited increasing corruption and deteriorating laws in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

On March 16, JUIF chief Maulana Fazl Rehman acknowledged that the real leadership of PTI was in jail, acknowledged that the tension between the two sides had reduced the tension, which paved the way for a possible coalition.

On the other hand, Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee and PTI’s President Junaid Akbar said in a television interview that party workers would protest outside the Adiala Jail for three days of Eid Fitr where Imran has been imprisoned.

He also said that if the government wants to negotiate with the central opposition party, this (government) will have to take the first step and show its seriousness in the talks.

He said that not everything is ideal in the unity of the opposition, but efforts are being made to strengthen the alliance.
