Princess Kate spoke about her family’s reaction to her surprise cancer diagnosis during her latest public appearance.
For the uninitiated, the Princess of Wales made a surprise appearance at London’s Royal Marsden Hospital on January 14 to personally thank the medical staff for their care during her treatment.
Moreover, the future queen comforted her fellow cancer patients and exchanged words of support.
Author Angela Terry speaks. people magazine that Kate revealed her family’s shocking reaction to her medical condition.
She said, “I overheard him talking to someone about the shock of the diagnosis and he said, “Yes! Shock — and it’s not just you, it’s the whole family, isn’t it?”
“She was very open. She had this ‘we’re in this together’ attitude, so I think people felt they could say all kinds of things. It was really nice to see,” Terry added. It was heart warming.
It is significant that Princess Kate announced her cancer diagnosis in March 2024, the same year she underwent chemotherapy for a few months.
After making her first public appearance in 2025, Kate took to social media to reveal that she is currently in remission from cancer and is focusing on a full recovery.
