The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) saw a sharp decline during the fourth trading day of the week, with the benchmark KSE-100 index down 935.15 points to close at 113,213.3 at around 9:39 am.

The decline followed a loss of 1,904.23 points, or 1.64 percent, to close at 114,148.45 in the previous session.

After a brief recovery, the index showed a marginal improvement, touching 113,923.56 around 9:45 AM, though it still showed a loss of 224.89 points, with trading volume rising to 21,577,724 shares.

In the morning, the KSE-100 index was up 164.54 points to 114,312.99 shortly after the market opened.

As of 10:15 am, several companies within the KSE-100 index were trading in the red, including PGLC, which fell 9.99% to 21.09, and ENGROH, which fell 4.00% to 261.50. On the other hand, stocks like JDWS saw gains, which rose 10.00 percent to 995.45.

By 10:34 AM, the PSX was down another 1,369.9 points at 112,778.55, its lowest point of the day with a traded volume of 100,105,890 shares.

Market volatility continues to cause concern among investors as they navigate these difficult conditions.
