ISLAMABAD: Last night, the government launched a grand operation and crackdown against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protesters, which the PTI termed as atrocities, when several protesters and security personnel were injured by heavy tear gas shelling. That some people were martyred. and firing.

According to a report circulating on social media, the Federal Government Polyclinic provided a list of 28 injured persons who were seriously injured by bullets, two of whom later succumbed to their injuries.
However, during a visit to Islamabad’s D Chowk and Jinnah Avenue last night, Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar claimed that no firing was done on the PTI protesters and no casualties were reported.

Earlier, the federal government had deployed the Pakistani army under Article 245 and ordered to shoot on sight if the situation worsened and got out of hand, as reported by state-run Radio Pakistan.
