Maulana Tariq Jamil Condemns Joint Family System
Maulana Tariq Jameel is one of the most beloved Islamic scholars of Pakistan. He has lived his life in the public eye and many people love his teachings because of his calm manner of speaking and not judging people for their jobs or sins. He prefers to remain mostly apolitical and he always issues fatwas in line with the modern world, most recently where he outlawed VPNs.
Joint family system is very common in Pakistan. Most households have more than one family living together and this often creates many problems between family members. However, it is a part of our culture and no one can fight it. We also have dramas and movies promoting this practice.
