Sultan Mehmed suppressed the sparks of rebellion in the Janissary Corps with a quick and determined intervention. This uprising, led by Ali Haydar, one of the Middle Aghas, ended with the harsh punishments of the Sultan and the leaders of the rebellion were severely punished.
