Karachi: A special duty magistrate in the City Court (Karachi South) sent Monday to Armagan’s father Kamran Asghar Qureshi, who is the most important suspect in the high -level Mustafa Amir murder case, and was sent to jail for arms and drugs on judicial remand.

Kamran was presented to the court after the expiry of his physical remand. The magistrate directed the Investigating Officer (IO) to complete the challan within the stipulated time and present it to the relevant court.

On March 20, Karachi police arrested Kamran during a raid on his bungalow in DHA. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anil Haider confirmed that the Anti -Volunteer Crime Cell (AVCC) recovered 200 grams crystal Meth (ICE), a unlicensed 9 mm pistol, and several rounds of ammunition from its possession.

A case has been registered against him for illegal weapons and drug occupation. The SSP said further investigations into the drug trafficking are underway.

Police sources have revealed that Kamran allegedly threatened special government prosecutor Zulqar Ali Aryan and senior police officials, and warned them, “I will see you all.” He allegedly caused obstacles during the judicial proceedings, tried to put pressure on the judiciary, and even threatened security staff and forced to go to the court premises.

Authorities believe Kamran’s money laundering and drug trafficking networks can be linked. Earlier, a police report flagged the “urgent need” to arrest him as he could flee the country.
