Islamabad: A judicial magistrate in Islamabad has issued arrest warrants for Pakistan Tehreek -e -Insaf (PTI) leader Omar Ayub and other party data for violating Section 144, while 18 PTI workers arrested during the protest last year have been granted bail by the court.

The hearing against PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan, Omar Ayub, Aamir Dogar, and Aamir Mughal was heard before the judicial magistrate Shahzad Khan in the district and Sessions Court Islamabad.

Due to his absence, the court issued arrest warrants for Omar Ayub, Aamir Dogar and Aamir Mughal, while he was exempted from the attendance of Shabbat Shaheen and Barrister Gohar Khan.

Barrister Gohar Khan had filed a petition for exemption from attendance, which the court accepted. However, the voices of applications for the defense cannot be heard, which has led to the postponement of the case till April 23.
