Islamabad: Pakistan and Azerbaijan have pledged to deepen bilateral relations by enhancing cooperation in energy, investment and tourism, officials said on Sunday.
The understanding took place during a meeting between Pakistan’s Minister of Privatization and Communications, Abdul Um Khan, and Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister Ali Asadov in a meeting in Baku.
Khan highlighted Pakistan’s investment potential, especially in the privatization of public -owned businesses. He invited Azerbaijan to invest in Pakistan’s motorway infrastructure and other important sectors, assuring full convenience for Azeri investors.
The two sides also discussed stabilizing their strategic partnership, focusing on economic cooperation, trade and mutual interests.
Welcoming the Pakistani delegation, Asadov ended the strong ties between the two countries.
Pakistan and Azerbaijan have maintained close diplomatic and economic relations, the two countries are seeking to enhance cooperation in several fields.
