ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has strongly condemned Israeli military aggression in Palestine, including a storm of the Al-Qaeda Mosque Complex on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
In a statement released Thursday, the Foreign Office criticized Israel’s actions, including its military targeting and infrastructure to Palestinian citizens.
Foreign Office spokesman Shafqat Ali Khan condemned Israeli offensive, which he called a direct violation of international law and humanitarian principles. He, in particular, condemned the attack on a UN clinic in Jabalia, providing shelter to more than 700 homeless citizens.
Khan said the attack has highlighted Israel’s clear neglect for international humanitarian law, adding that such actions are equivalent to war crimes.
The spokesman also expressed serious concern over the Israeli campaign to seize the Palestinian land, including illegal occupation of the Morag Corridor, and the wider goal of ethnic cleansing in Palestine. He described these actions as part of Israel’s expansionist agenda, which further enhances tensions in the region.
Khan further condemned the storm at the Israeli mosque compound during the holy month of Eid -ul -Fitr, and described it as a contradictory act that violates the sanctity of one of the most respected places in Islam.
He emphasized that the process was not only provocative but also part of efforts to increase Israel’s ongoing conflict and further its regional ambitions, while disrupting regional peace and stability.
The ongoing violence in Gaza, resulting in the death of thousands of Palestinian nationals, including women, children and medical personnel, was also condemned.
Khan highlighted the mass destruction of civilian infrastructure and the forced migration of Palestinians as part of an Israeli military campaign. He described these actions as morally unforgivable and legal.
Pakistan confirmed its strong and irrevocable support for the Palestinian people’s right to self -determination and an independent state based on the borders before 1967, in which Alkos al -Sharif has been declared its capital.
The statement calls on the international community to make Israel accountable for international law violations and take concrete steps to end occupation and bring justice to the Palestinian people.
The Foreign Office’s statement ended, reiterating his commitment to stand with Palestine in his struggle for freedom, dignity and sovereignty.
