The High Commissioner announced that the opening ceremony would be held to resume flights.

Media personnel will be invited to attend and report the event.

After returning in 2020, flights resume will be an important milestone in restoring Pakistan’s aviation relations with Britain.

Earlier, the European Union banned PIA flight work in June 2020 due to security concerns.

The move was taken as a result of a tragic plane crash and fake pilot licenses in Karachi.

However, after a widespread regulatory improvement, the European Union lifted the ban this year.

Four and a half years later, the PIA earlier resumed its European operations on January 10, 2025 with the first flight to Paris.

In the relevant news, the Pakistan government has assured the sale of PIA to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) by July 2025.
