Petrol supply disrupted in Punjab, KP due to PTI protest
LAHORE: The Ministry of Petroleum has directed the Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) to guarantee uninterrupted supply of petroleum products in case of disruptions in the supply of petrol and diesel.
Abdul Sami Khan, chairman of the Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association, claims that tanker deliveries have been disrupted due to roadblocks due to PTI protests, particularly in Punjab and KP where some gas stations are out of fuel. .
He pointed out that while Sindh is largely unaffected, Punjab and KP are experiencing severe disruptions, with many cars stranded due to road closures. “Closing roads prevent people from accessing gasoline even when it is available,” he continued.
Several gas stations are reportedly out of stock, especially in Punjab, where some outlets have been closed or only limited. Supply is offered. According to pump owners, fuel deliveries have been stopped for the last three days due to continuous road restrictions.
Gasoline supply suspended in Chakwal
Due to the suspension of petrol and diesel delivery at Talagang and Chakwal petrol pumps, all petrol sales have been stopped in Chakwal city.
Due to non-availability of fuel, the hardships of the residents have increased.
The supply of petroleum has been severely affected due to obstructions on the roads in Lahore. According to Chaudhry, about 30 percent of the city’s gas pumps have gone dry.
