Islamabad: Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and the Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, demanded Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday and discussed issues of bilateral interest.

This was the first official visit of Sheikh Khalid, in his ability as Crown Prince.

The Prime Minister warmly welcomed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthen its historic and brotherly relations between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates, and warmly welcomed the Prince of Abu Dhabi. The delegation level was discussed after one of the meetings.

Recalling his most productive meeting with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi earlier this month, the Prime Minister said that it is a matter of great satisfaction that the two countries are now working closely, so that their excellent political relations can be transformed into a mutual economic contribution.

The Prime Minister said that during the recent visit to Uzbekistan, the Uzbekistan-Afghanistan Pakistan (UAP) Railway Line project was discussed and Uzbekistan expressed keen interest in the project.

He added that the project would benefit the ports of Gwadar and Abu Dhabi and would prove to be a game changer for the entire region.

The Prime Minister praised the permanent and strong support of the United Arab Emirates in various fields, including in difficult times. He deeply praised the United Arab Emirates’s keen interest in expanding his investment portfolio in Pakistan and remarked that the recent successful investment measures between various Pakistani institutions and Abu Dhabi ports are a shining example of this strong and growing cooperation.

Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed, who was accompanied by a delegation comprising senior officials and business leaders, thanked the Prime Minister and endorsed the UAE’s permanent support for Pakistan’s economic development and prosperity.

On this occasion, the two leaders also saw several MOS and agreements exchanged between the two sides. MUS/contracts were signed in the fields of banking, mining, infrastructure development and railway.

Meanwhile, in a post on the X, the Prime Minister said, “Nowadays, the honor of welcoming Abu Dhabi’s Prince Prince and Abu Dhabi Executive Council Chairman, HH Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, we have welcomed the best of all, with the best interests of the Muslim community. And with the help, Pakistan-Euro relationships are growing firmly with force!
