Prime Minister Shehbaz and President of Belarus vowed to further strengthen bilateral relations.
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko held a bilateral meeting on Tuesday in which both sides reiterated their commitment to further strengthen bilateral trade and business relations as well as mutually beneficial cooperation.
Warmly welcoming the President of Belarus at the Prime Minister’s House, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Belarus.
He hoped that President Lukashenko’s visit would help open new avenues of bilateral cooperation and partnership.
Political relations, trade and investment, defense cooperation and regional issues were discussed in the meeting.
The two leaders expressed satisfaction over the positive trend of Pakistan-Belarus relations in all fields during the last decade.
Prime Minister Shehbaz apprised the Belarusian President of his government’s economic recovery policy aimed at export-led growth and attracting investment from friendly countries.
President Lukashenko thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz for his warm welcome and hospitality.
