According to Kensington Palace, Prince William regrets his decision to skip a major royal event.

The Prince of Wales, who stepped down from important royal engagements on Thursday, has sent his sincere apologies to the public for his unexpected decision.

William, as Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps (AAC), was to visit the regiment at Whitsham, and all arrangements were made.

However, the future king had to postpone the much-awaited trip due to bad weather.

The royal’s absence sparked backlash from fans, with some questioning William’s decision

A Kensington Palace spokesman explained the reason in a new statement, saying: “Regrettably, this engagement has been postponed as a result of the inclement weather which has significantly curtailed the planned programme.”

The statement continued: “The Prince of Wales sends his sincere apologies to those he was due to meet and hopes to reschedule his visit as soon as possible.”

It is worth mentioning here that King Charles formally commissioned William in 2024 at the Army Aviation Center at Middlewall.
