PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Advisor, Barrister Dr Muhammad Ali Saif, has alleged that former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bashara Babi are being denied Sihari and Iftar when they observe Ramzan fasting in jail.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Barrister Saif claims that authorities are deliberately causing mental and physical anxiety by restricting their access to food during fasting hours.
He further accused the government to stop them from performing religious rituals, and deliberately call the move a repression act.
The PTI leader also criticized the ban on meetings with Imran Khan, and argued that it violates judicial orders and demands accountability. He called on the courts to take humiliating action against those responsible, and insisted that the government’s actions reflect his fears from a single prisoner.
The allegations have raised a massive concern among PTI supporters, who view sanctions as a target campaign against their leader.
